Compliance Specialist – Industry Super Fund

Reporting to the Fund’s CGO, your primary objective is to ensure that the Fund governance and compliance standards and procedures are documented, understood and applied consistently in order to achieve the Trustee’s strategic objectives.

As part of the Governance, Risk and Compliance team you will provide advice to Secretariat staff, prepare for compliance and internal audits, and approve member communications.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with compiling and submitting regulatory reporting;
  • Monitoring legislative and policy development and prepare advice to management.
  • Maintain Fund registers;
  • Assist with Board assessment, onboarding and ongoing Fit and proper requirements for Board and Responsible Officers; and
  • Draft proposals for policy development to support risk mitigation.

You have:

  • Significant hands-on experience in a generalist Compliance role within the Superannuation sector;
  • A practical and proactive mode of working, will work professionally and cooperatively across all levels of the Fund, meet deadlines and work autonomously;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – are concise, confident and accurate;
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, be accountable and take ownership of issues to resolution;
  • Relevant qualifications in law, commerce, business or a related discipline is desirable; and
  • RG146 accreditation preferred.
