Finance/Investment Operations Opportunity – Industry Super Fund (Melbourne)

Reporting to the Fund’s CFO, your primary objective is to contribute to operations of the Finance and Investment functions to achieve the Trustee’s strategic objectives.

Working across both teams you will provide hands on accounting, budgeting and reconciliation activities and prepare and follow through investment instructions, funding investment mandates and record investment distributions.

Specific responsibilities include:

Finance

  • Assist with maintaining the financial modelling tool;
  • Undertake unit pricing reconciliations and reporting;
  • Review monthly budgets and analyse variances;
  • Process accounts payable including credit card reconciliations;
  • Reconcile APRA reporting to management accounts; and
  • Ad-hoc support to finance team.

Investments

  • Re-balance asset allocations;
  • Coordinate the funding of investment mandates and liquidity requirements;
  • Prepare investment instructions to the custodian and investment managers as requested;
  • Verify investment manager fee invoice calculations;
  • Monitor liquidity and prepare cash flow forecasting; and
  • Record investment distributions, capital calls and transactions.

You have:

  • Relevant Finance and Investment Operations experience including entity accounting preferably in the Superannuation sector,
  • Relevant qualifications in accounting, business or a related discipline is desirable,
  • CPA qualified,
  • Ability to manage time and priorities, accurate, with strong attention to detail, and
  • Professional, friendly, enthusiastic team player.
