The Role

Reporting to the Fund’s Risk and Compliance Manager, the appointee will be responsible for proactively improving the risk culture of the Trustee Office and for implementing initiatives to improve or minimise risk therein. In this role, you will:

  • Maintain assessment and validation for obligations and controls across the Trustee Office and all the Trustee’s material service providers, and have oversight of incidents and remedial actions for those incidents;
  • Provide advice and guidance to the members of the Trustee Office on risk and compliance issues;
  • Assist the Risk and Compliance Manager and Manager Investment Solutions in monitoring and oversight activities of the Trustee’s material service providers which include but are not limited to due diligence, risk assessment, reporting and site visits; and
  • Maintain and provide reporting on all registers, policies and procedures and assist management in reporting to the regulatory authorities

The Person

You may be an experienced senior super fund administrator or currently work for an external super administration services provider (or similar). This is a RARE opportunity to take your first steps into a promising risk and compliance career! You have:

  • Some relevant experience in a risk conscious environment, ideally in superannuation or other financial services entity, and some understanding of current and proposed regulatory and legislative requirements;
  • An ability to demonstrate a working understanding of risk management concepts such as risks and controls;
  • Good communication, interpersonal and stakeholder relationship management skills;
  • A proactive approach to your work and a proven ability to manage change effectively; and
  • A relevant tertiary qualification
